Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
LJ Patterson Sales & Service is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong diagnostic and repair skills, and enjoys working on agricultural and construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural, construction, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify and repair faults.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Work safely and effectively as part of a team.
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new tractors and trailers, ensuring units are properly assembled, inspected, and ready for customer delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and perform repairs.
- Comfortable using computers and diagnostic software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience working on agricultural or construction equipment is considered an asset.
