Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roof Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various roofing systems across multiple client sites. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of technical skills to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Service Technician plays a vital role in delivering high-quality service, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
Duties
- Use hand tools and construction materials to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to guide work processes
- Conduct caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing tasks as needed for project completion
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials or equipment safely using proper techniques
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and issues encountered during service calls
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction techniques
- Experience in carpentry, caulking, and general handyman tasks
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong knowledge of heavy lifting procedures and safety protocols
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environments for extended periods
