Position Overview
We are seeking an active 2nd Year Plumbing Apprentice (or higher) to join our growing team. You will work alongside experienced technicians on residential and light commercial plumbing, drainage, and emergency service calls. This role offers hands-on experience, direct mentorship from industry veterans, and steady work across the Lower Mainland.
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Repair: Assist with or independently execute leak detection, pipe repairs (PEX, Copper, PVC), toilet and fixture installs, and valve replacements.
- Drain & Sewer Services: Perform drain cleaning using mechanical snakes, hydro jetting equipment, and sewer camera inspections.
- Emergency Response: Participate in scheduled emergency on-call rotations for urgent leaks, burst pipes, and sewer backups.
- Jobsite Preparation & Maintenance: Maintain clean work areas, ensure service vehicles are stocked with proper tools and materials, and strictly follow safety protocols.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly and honestly with homeowners and business owners regarding plumbing issues and proposed fixes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Apprenticeship Status: Currently registered as a 2nd Year (or higher) Plumbing Apprentice in British Columbia (SkilledTradesBC / ITA).
- Experience: 1–3+ years of practical experience in residential or commercial plumbing service.
- Driver’s License: Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with hand and power tools, pipe fitting (soldering, crimping, threading), and diagnostic equipment.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces (crawlspaces, basements), and handle physically demanding daily tasks.
- Attributes: Punctual, strong work ethic, team player, and commitment to transparent, honest service.
