Join the amazing team at the Woodcroft Community Health Centre, working with the Healthy Young Families and Healthy Schools Programs. As the successful candidate, you will work with a diverse team of health care professionals in a busy and continually changing environment. Some of the areas that you will provide front line administrative support to includes the Healthy Young Families Program as well as greeting the public and collaborating with other co-located departments. Some of the many responsibilities of this fast-paced role include booking appointments, greeting and registering clients in an electronic medical record, verification of client records/information in electronic databases, line management, monitoring clients in post immunization waiting areas, cleaning as per infection control standards, vaccine management and other administrative support duties as required. The successful candidate must follow appropriate hand hygiene techniques including the regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap. This position will be scheduled per rotation and will work out of the Woodcroft Community Health Centre reporting to the Operations Manager. Important notice - Woodcroft Community Health Centre Team is currently operating out of East Edmonton Health Centre until their new site is ready in 2027.

The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, demonstrate a professional image, exceptional customer service ability, be a strong team player, and be flexible with the ability to adapt to change. Proficiency in Netcare, Connect Care, Alberta Vaccine Booking System (AVBS) and other computer applications including word processing, data entry, email, and Internet browsers is required. Knowledge of Community Health programs is required. The position is multi-faceted, working within the Healthy Young Families and Healthy Schools programs, wherever you may be needed. Candidates must also be culturally competent and comfortable with a high volume of activity. The ASIII is required to pack, lift, move, and transport heavy and/or awkward supplies to various work sites. Must be physically able to lift up-to 30lbs. Service delivery may require walking several blocks and climbing several flights of stairs, awkward and repetitive movements, sitting, standing, and/or bending for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of Grade 12 and the successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial or administrative support certificate from an approved business school/college is preferred. Two years recent administrative/reception experience is an asset. Excellent communication, telephone and organizational skills are desired. Understanding of Community Health Centre operations is preferred.
