At the At the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre (PJCC) aquatics department, we believe in building confident
leaders and swimmers one splash and one lesson at a time. Our vibrant community hub is rooted in inclusivity, personal
growth, and meaningful connections. We’re looking for an energetic, motivated, and compassionate Leadership &
Aquatic Instructor to join our team and help shape the next generation of leaders.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality, interactive leadership and aquatic certification programs (e.g. NL Pool, Swim Instructor,
Bronze Cross, First Aid)
- Guide participants through curriculum-based lessons and provide ongoing feedback
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive program space
- Complete administrative tasks including attendance, evaluations and incident reports
- Set up and maintain equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed and cleanliness
- Collaborate with program staff to support participant success and program development
What do you bring?
- Swim Instructor and Lifeguard Certification – Up to date with LSS ID
- 2+ years as swim instructor
- Qualified for one or more of:
o Lifesaving Instructor (Bronze Levels with Examiner)
o Emergency First Aid Instructor + Examiner
o Standard First Aid Instructor + Examiner
o National Lifeguard Pool Instructor + Examiner
o Aquatic Management Instructor
o Instructor Trainer
