We are growing and looking for a skilled and compassionate Fertility Nurse to join our expanding team at Ajax Fertility Centre and/or King Square Fertility Centre.
Candidates who are willing and available to work at both locations will be given priority consideration.
We are seeking a dedicated nursing professional who is passionate about reproductive health and fertility care and who understands the importance of providing knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient-centred care throughout the fertility journey.
About the Role:
As a Fertility Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting our patients throughout their treatment. You will work closely with our physicians, labratory team, and clinic staff to ensure patients receive high-quality clinical care, education, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing fertility treatments
- Educate patients regarding fertility treatment plans, medications, procedures, and treatment expectations
- Provide medication teaching, including injection teaching and medication protocols
- Coordinate and monitor patient treatment cycles
- Assist with fertility procedures and clinical appointments as required
- Communicate relevant clinical information to physicians
- Provide telephone and in-person patient support throughout treatment cycles
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and laboratory personnel
- Support patients through what can be an emotionally and physically demanding treatment process
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all applicable professional, regulatory, and clinic standards
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional clinic environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN, in Good Standing)
- Current CPR/BLS (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in fertility, reproductive health, women’s health, or a related clinical setting is an asset
- Proficient IV and venipuncture skills are a great asset
- Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable providing patient education and medication/injection teaching
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple treatment cycles and priorities
