Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, along with excellent leadership and team management skills. Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new kitchen personnel to build a strong team.
- Implement and maintain health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menu items that reflect customer preferences and seasonal availability.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on restaurant management or kitchen experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred.
