Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Brewer to join our brewing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the brewing process, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic food manufacturing setting, contributing to the creation of high-quality craft beverages. Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the brewing process from raw ingredient preparation to fermentation and packaging
- Operate packaging equipment efficiently to ensure proper filling, sealing, and labeling of products
- (optional) Utilize forklifts and other machinery safely for moving ingredients and finished products within the facility
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Perform routine mechanical inspections and basic troubleshooting on brewing systems
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking ingredients and supplies used during production
- Adhere to quality control standards throughout the brewing process, including monitoring temperature, pH levels, and other critical parameters
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes and sanitation practices
Skills
- Experience with packaging processes in a food or beverage manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to brewing equipment, forklifts (optional), and general plant machinery
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Basic math skills for measurements, recipe adjustments, and quality checks
- Familiarity with food industry standards and best practices for food processing
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, including cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance
- Attention to detail to ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards
