Position – General Operator

Wage - $21-22
We are looking for dependable and hardworking General Operator to join our sorting department. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where individuals will need to be flexible and effectively collaborate with their position.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure the correct setting of the various bowl types, manual and automatic, are set in
accordance to procedures and work instructions.
- To ensure the correct settings are in place on the automated wash machine, based on the item
being washed.
- To ensure that washed parts meet SPIROL’s cleanliness standards
- Responsible for the removal of all damaged and defective product.
- To ensure all routing stages are booked through Transcollector
- To operate the department equipment, processing the component.
- To monitor and maintain records of all process conditions as laid out in the works instructions.
- Packing of finished product according to packing instructions, box sizes and box quantities.
- Location of packed goods into the stores.
- To receive WIP product from the various production area’s within the factory and store within the
designated area. To ensure all cosmetic products are clean and all testing has been carried out.
Processing these parts through the scrap separator and sorting operations.
- To maintain the work areas that you work within to the highest possible standards of cleanliness
and tidiness.
- To perform and document general maintenance as so assigned by the Supervisor and/or
Maintenance Department.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably requested
Requirements:
- Ability to work in hot manufacturing conditions
- Comfortable working around metal stamping presses and heavy machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Manufacturing or factory experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when required
- Must have CSA approved Safety Boots and Safety glasses
