The Renaissance is a boutique retirement residence that provides independent living, meals, and weekly housekeeping for independent seniors. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness and organization in a retirement residence setting, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents. This role requires strong time management skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. This role involves standing and walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks. Candidates must be able to safely lift up to 20 lbs and complete physically active work throughout their shift
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of resident suites and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Launder linens and towels, ensuring they are fresh and neatly presented.
- Organize and tidy living areas, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms to maintain a clean and orderly home.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and preferences.
- Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated schedules.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality through attention to detail in all cleaning tasks.
Experience
Previous experience is great, but not required. A kind personality and a willingness to learn are much more important
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in English is required
A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to foster positive resident relationships.

This is a part-time position with the potential for additional hours in the future. The role currently requires two shifts per week, averaging about 10-12 hours per week.
