Role Overview
St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School has a need for dedicated Supply Teachers to support all areas of our school: Junior, Middle & Senior. This position will be responsible for working in collaboration with the SMLS Teaching Team to deliver innovative and comprehensive programming that meets the learning needs of students.
The successful candidate is enthusiastic, articulate, and a creative teacher who communicates with ease and confidence. You offer a learning community that allows different learners to thrive and prosper. You are comfortable engaging in innovative and diverse programming. You are a critical thinker who demonstrates professionalism, initiative, integrity, and attention to detail.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
We are seeking dynamic and exemplary educators with the following key qualities and a willingness to continue to develop and grow as a professional:
- Ontario Teacher Certification with Primary, Junior, Intermediate, and/or Senior qualifications
Specialize in one or more of the following areas [Middle & Senior School]:
- Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics)
- Social Studies (History/Geography in Middle School)
- Arts: Music, Visual/Media, Drama
3+ years of teaching experience
- Experience teaching in an all-girls environment (an asset)
- Work experience in the independent school environment (an asset)
- A comfort with Mac & Google Applications (including Google Meets)
