We are excited to be recruiting for a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor at our Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport Location.
This is a full-time position, and the hours will be , depending on hotel business levels and staffing levels. Open Availability is required.
Wyndham Garden is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory. The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and will be operated by Winnipeg based Sparrow Hotels. The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness centre, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.
Position Summary:
Working alongside the Assistant Front Office Manager, this position supports the day-to-day operation by delivering exceptional guest service, resolving guest concerns, managing schedules and payroll approvals, responding to guest reviews, and coordinating gift shop vendor orders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Front Office, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient departmental operations.
· Handle guest concerns, service recovery, and respond to guest reviews.
· Assist with staff training, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing performance development.
· Prepare team schedules and approve payroll hours.
· Monitor reservations, packages, and guest requests to ensure a seamless guest experience.
· Complete daily administrative and operational tasks, including reports, audits, and accounting corrections.
· Place vendor orders and monitor inventory levels for the gift shop and Front Office supplies.
· Support staff engagement, shift leadership, and daily task completion, serving as the department lead in the Manager's absence.
· Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and computer skills.
· Availability is required for mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
What you bring to the table:
· A minimum of 2–3 years of hotel Front Desk experience, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service, effectively resolve guest concerns, and create memorable guest experiences through thoughtful service recovery.
· A positive, professional, and hardworking attitude, with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with guests, team members, and leaders.
· The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while remaining organized, detail-oriented, and committed to following established procedures and standards.
· Demonstrated experience leading, training, coaching, and motivating team members, fostering a respectful, and high-performing team culture.
· Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and accountability for administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, payroll, inventory management, and operational reporting.
· Sound judgment and strong decision-making skills, with the confidence to lead shifts, adapt to changing operational needs, and maintain service excellence during mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
