We are seeking a versatile and motivated All Rounder to join our team. This role involves various aspects of our hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, customer service, house keeping, and cash handling, with the flexibility to adapt to different responsibilities within the restaurant and hotel environment.
Here at Coal River we offer a list of services. RV Park, tent sites, ATV rentals, fishing, restaurant, hotel, cabins, repairs shop and more to come. We're located at KM 822.5 on the Alaska Highway. Our business is growing and we hope to find an individual who wants to grow with it. You will live and work in Coal River. Needless to say this isn't just a job, it's a lifestyle. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Square POS, for order processing and transactions
- Manage cash handling accurately during customer payments
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Cleaning hotel rooms and public use washrooms
- Support upselling efforts to enhance sales opportunities
- Ensure timely service by managing time effectively during busy periods
- Support general restaurant and hotel operations as needed, including serving customers and assisting with kitchen and hotel tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, hotel or restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Square POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
- Ability to maintain sanitation standards and adhere to health regulations
