We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Patient Care Representative to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and visitors, answering phones, taking vitals, scanning, faxing, and assisting with administrative duties as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients as needed
- Take and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Obtain medical history information and update patient records
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments as directed by medical staff
- Prepare exam rooms for patient visits
- Perform general administrative duties, such as scanning, faxing, and data entry
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills and software applications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Professional and courteous demeanour
