Overview
At Origins, we’re a fast-growing electrical and instrumentation company powered by people who are ready to step up, work hard, and take pride in what they do. Rooted in the Circle Strategy, our commitment to the community is embedded in everything we do.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, with great benefits and real opportunities to grow—because at Stratus, there is no Stratus without Us.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented On-Site Project Coordinator to oversee construction projects from initiation to completion. This role acts as the technical gatekeeper and logistical engine of the site. You will ensure that by the time a tool or a crew touches the ground, every technical, material, and preparatory hurdle has been cleared.
Duties
- Procurement & Material Management: Oversee the procurement, tracking, and staging of all electrical materials (tray, cable, grounding rods, conduit). Ensure "just-in-time" delivery to work fronts to minimize idle time.
- Equipment Coordination: Manage the rental, maintenance, and logistics for heavy equipment (excavators, trenchers, cable pullers) required for buried utilities and tray installation.
- Technical Pre-Planning: Lead the review of engineering drawings and specifications. Identify potential clashes (e.g., ground grid interference with other utilities) and submit RFIs to the engineering team before work begins.
- Documentation & QA/QC: Prepare and manage the technical documentation required for field packages. Track the completion of quality verification sheets for underground and grounding scopes.
Requirements
- Journey Person Electrician or Technologist
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in industrial electrical construction, with a strong background in project coordination or construction projects.
Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in industrial electrical infrastructure, including ground grid design/installation, cable tray routing, and underground utility/duct bank layouts.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and construction specifications.
- Logistical Skills: Proven experience in managing material supply chains, "just-in-time" deliveries, and coordinating heavy equipment rentals (e.g., excavators, trenchers).
Pre-Planning & Documentation:
- Strong aptitude for pre-construction planning, including RFI generation, submittal management, and identifying clashes between underground services and structural design.
- Proficiency in project management and document control software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, or similar).
