Bakery Mixer / Scaler

Pay Rate: $26.15 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Bakery Mixer/Scaler interested in building a long-term career. Applicants must have at least one year of professional mixing experience in a bakery or food-production environment.
Schedule
Applicants must be available to work four to five days per week, including occasional Saturdays.
- Day shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Night shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Overtime is paid after 44 hours per week
- $1.00-per-hour premium for hours worked between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- $2.00-per-hour premium for weekend hours
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and available for permanent, full-time employment.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Line Leader and Operations Leader, the Mixer/Scaler is responsible for accurately preparing, weighing, and mixing ingredients to produce consistent bakery products that meet production schedules, quality standards, and food-safety requirements.
This position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and respect for all team members.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to established batch lists and production schedules
- Accurately weigh, measure, and verify all ingredients
- Follow recipes and precise measurements to produce specialized batters and doughs
- Record and verify ingredient lot-code identification numbers
- Take product measurements as directed by the Shift Leader or Operations Leader
- Safely operate industrial mixing machinery and related equipment
- Use scales, thermometers, knives, and other production tools safely and efficiently
- Report equipment malfunctions, production concerns, and quality issues immediately
- Follow all food-safety, workplace-safety, and Operations Management System procedures
- Accurately enter inventory and production information into the operating system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Support production goals by working effectively as part of a team
Requirements
- Minimum one year of professional bakery or food-production mixing experience
- Experience weighing, scaling, and preparing ingredients
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and production instructions accurately
- Comfortable operating industrial mixing equipment
- Strong attention to quality, safety, and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work 12-hour shifts
- Flexible availability for day shifts, night shifts, and occasional Saturdays
