Research and Evaluation is an integral component of FearIsNotLove, utilizing Outcome Measurements to provide accountability to funders, as well as program management and development. Outcome Measurement is paramount for securing and sustaining funding and ensuring the delivery of quality and responsive services to our clients. The department plays a key role in collecting, managing, analyzing, and interpreting data to support programs evaluation, strategic planning, and reporting requirements.
Reporting to the Manager, Research & Evaluation, the Research Assistant supports organization-wide data collection, reporting, database administration, and evaluation activities across programs. The role involves working collaboratively with program teams to maintain data integrity, support outcome measurement processes, develop reporting tools, and assist with internal and external reporting requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Support organization-wide research, evaluation, and quality improvement activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain and support the organization’s database and data collection systems, primarily Apricot and Qualtrics.
- Provide staff support and troubleshooting related to databases, data entry, and system onboarding.
- Develop, update, and troubleshoot forms, reports, and data collection tools to support program and funder requirements.
- Assist with internal, external, and funder reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
- Collaborate with program managers to review reporting needs, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to data collection processes and workflows.
- Prepare quantitative and qualitative summaries, visualizations, and presentations to support organizational reporting and decision-making.
- Assist with logic models, performance measurement frameworks, outcome tracking, and program evaluation activities.
- Conduct literature reviews and support evidence-informed program development and evaluation practices.
- Conduct client interviews and/or focus groups, to support program evaluation and quality improvement.
- Maintain confidential and sensitive organizational and client information in accordance with agency policies and ethical standards.
- Other duties as assigned to support FearIsNotLove’s clients and program.
WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR MISSION:
- Post-secondary degree with relevant research experience in social science or related field.
- Understanding of research and/or program evaluation methodology.
- Excellent computer skills, including strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Comfortable with learning new software and experience in troubleshooting technical difficulties.
- Experience with social work research would be an asset.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to meet defined deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Exceptional ability to maintain confidentiality.

- If eligible for registration with a professional body, registration must be current.
