Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role involves providing professional haircuts, color treatments, styling, and consultations while ensuring sanitation standards are maintained. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and front desk responsibilities to enhance client experience and salon operations. Looking for Apprentice or Journeymen
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to client needs and offering professional recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools according to health regulations.
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items to clients to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, color application, and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client consultations and team collaboration.
- Ability to upsell retail products in a professional manner.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required.
- A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by Alberta regulations.
