Pacific Flo Mechanical is a locally owned plumbing and mechanical contractor serving commercial, light-industrial, and multi-residential clients across the Lower Mainland.
We’re growing and looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate may have a background in HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, gas, or a combination of mechanical service work. You do not need to hold every ticket listed below. We are open to qualified technicians with strong experience in one or more of these areas.
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial mechanical systems such as rooftop units, boilers, heat pumps, VRF systems, controls, plumbing systems, and related equipment while delivering the friendly, professional service our clients expect.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, service, and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, depending on your trade background and experience.
- Service equipment such as RTUs, boilers, heat pumps, make-up air units, exhaust systems, controls, and related plumbing/mechanical systems.
- Perform seasonal preventive-maintenance visits.
- Accurately quote and complete minor retrofits, repairs, or component replacements.
- Communicate recommendations and findings to customers and internal office staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and provide solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Keep company vehicle, tools, and inventory organized and in good repair.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial mechanical service work, including one or more of the following areas: HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, gas, or controls.
- Relevant certifications, licences, or apprenticeship status in your trade area are preferred.
- Able to read mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, or service documentation related to your field.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, systems, and service work outside your primary trade area.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic / 313A (preferred)
- Plumbing ticket or apprenticeship experience (preferred)
- Class B Gasfitter ticket (preferred)
- Class 5 Driver's Licence (preferred)
