Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide essential care and assistance to clients in their homes. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when required
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Document care provided and communicate any changes in health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Assist with transportation to appointments or errands as needed
- Follow care plans and adhere to all safety protocols to ensure client safety at all times
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care environments is preferred
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and respectful attitude toward clients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong sense of caregiving responsibility
