POSITION OVERVIEW
The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing, and is responsible, alongside the marketing team, helping to shape and execute the marketing and communications strategy for the Society consistent with our global branding and positioning. This role is integral in supporting all ISCT marketing and communication portals to provide consistent, clear and impactful messaging of the Society as a global leader in cell and gene therapy (CGT).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media, websites, and advertising collaterals aligned with ISCT global brand and goals.
- Prepare email blasts (design, copy, distribution).
- Produce content, manage and monitor ISCT social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Bluesky)
- Assist in developing and maintaining content on ISCT websites
- Provide graphic design and production support for marketing collateral, including digital and print materials.
- Maintain and update the marketing content calendar, tracking the progress of campaigns and support timely execution across email, social, and website platforms.
- Data Management.
- Maintain and update ISCT email databases and contact lists for campaigns
- Monitor and report metrics (website traffic, email click rates, social media followers and engagement)
- Track and record marketing metrics on a monthly basis (using Google Analytics and CMS-based data sources).
- Track competitor activities and changes to support continuous benchmarking for the Society.
- Prepare PowerPoint slides for external promotion.
- Development and execution of the Society’s annual report.
- Provide exceptional services and a member-focused perspective in delivering ISCT marketing and communications.
- Fulfill other job-specific responsibilities as required:
- Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team’s success.
- Support other team members as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree required. Marketing/ Communications major or certificate in marketing preferred. A major or minor in science is considered an asset.
- 3+ years of related marketing experience working on-site in a corporate or professional office-based environment is required.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, third-party email software, social media platforms, website content management, and analytics.
- Experience with content management software using CSS and HTML code
- Experience developing copy for promotional/marketing materials required.
- Experience in basic graphic design and familiarity with Canva.
- Experience working with WordPress is considered an asset.
- Experience working with brand accounts on LinkedIn is considered an asset.
- Basic experience with CRMs, especially HubSpot, is considered an asset.

This position will be located at ISCT Head Office in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Candidates must be able to legally work full time in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, work permit, etc.). Pay: $65,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
