Pinecrest Construction is seeking an experienced Fence & Deck Builder (Independent Contractor) for residential projects throughout Ottawa.
This is a project-based subcontract opportunity for an independent contractor who takes pride in quality workmanship. Experience in fence construction, deck building, or both is welcome.
Responsibilities
- Build pressure-treated, cedar, and PVC fences
- Construct decks, gates, railings, pergolas, and other outdoor structures
- Read and follow project plans and specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fence construction, deck building, or both
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Experience with pressure-treated, cedar, and PVC fencing systems is an asset
- Own transportation and professional tools
- Valid WSIB Clearance Certificate (or exemption, if applicable)
- Commercial General Liability Insurance
Compensation
- $20.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, reliability, and project requirements.
- For applicable projects, compensation may also be offered on a per-project or other agreed-upon pricing structure, depending on the scope of work.
