Our client, a well-established civil contractor in the Greater Vancouver Area, specializes in excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, and site development projects across the Lower Mainland. They are seeking a Proposal & Marketing Specialist to lead proposal submissions and support the company's marketing initiatives, helping secure new work while strengthening their brand presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of EOIs, RFQs, and RFPs from start to finish.
- Write, edit, and format proposal content, including executive summaries, project profiles, resumes, cover letters, and client-specific responses.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to develop compelling, compliant proposals that align with client requirements.
- Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates, content libraries, and submission processes.
- Track proposal outcomes and implement lessons learned to improve future submissions.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives across digital, print, email, and social media platforms.
- Create engaging content for company websites, social media, newsletters, project announcements, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate photography, videography, branded merchandise, and marketing collateral to support business development efforts.
- Maintain company branding standards across all internal and external communications.
- Monitor website performance, social media engagement, and marketing metrics while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing, communications, or a similar role within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry.
- Experience preparing proposals and submissions for major public-sector clients, including BC Hydro, TransLink, Metro Vancouver, the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT), and municipalities throughout the Lower Mainland.
- Proven experience managing complex proposal submissions, including EOIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Strong business writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to develop persuasive, client-focused proposals under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with digital marketing, website management, social media platforms, and Meta Business Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to project sites, events, and meetings as required.
