Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of machinery and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Machine Operator
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate sheet metal machines to cut, punch, and bend heavy-gauge sheet metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Set up and adjust machines, tooling, and dies for optimal performance.
- Perform quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload sheet metal materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and collaborate with maintenance as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous 1-3 years of work experience in a similar role is required (training provided on specific machines).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and bending processes.
- Proficiency with measurement tools, including calipers, tape measures, and gauges.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
