We are a well-established, medium-sized Interior Design firm specializing in high-end residential, condominiums, marketing centres, and model homes. We are currently seeking a committed, energetic, and highly technical Intermediate CAD Design Technologist / Interior Designer to join our Toronto team. This full-time, permanent role focuses on producing presentation drawings, complete construction document packages, and detailed millwork graphics across our flagship projects.
POSITION AVAILABLE: Intermediate Interior Designer
MANDATORY & REQUIRED SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY:
Core Technical (Mandatory): Advanced, proven proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is strictly required.
3D Rendering & Graphics: Active proficiency in SketchUp, Lumion, D5 Render, and Adobe Photoshop.
Office & Productivity Suite: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Development & Space Planning: Develop space plans, schematic designs, and design development packages in response to project requirements and client objectives.
Construction Documentation: Produce comprehensive presentation drawings and complete construction drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD.
Custom Millwork & Technical Detailing: Develop precise technical details for specialty millwork, custom furniture, architectural elements, and interior assemblies.
Material, Finish & FF&E Selection: Assist with sourcing, selecting, and specifying interior finishes, flooring, wall coverings, millwork, lighting, fixtures, furnishings, and custom furniture systems.
Client Presentations & Visualization: Support client presentations, design visualization, material boards, and other design communication deliverables.
Codes & Standards Compliance: Be familiar with designs and documentation comply with applicable building codes.
Contract Administration Support: Assist with construction administration, including shop drawing review, RFI responses, coordination of site conditions, and field review activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education: Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architectural Technology.
ARIDO membership or eligibility is preferred, but not required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in a professional design or architectural firm.
Soft Skills & Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines, and a creative, motivated attitude.
Position Type: Full-Time, 4 months
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
