We are seeking a Terminal Administrative Clerk to join our client's team in Vaughan, ON (near Hwy 50 and Rutherford).
This position requires you to work on site at our client's high-volume terminal. Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Pay: $19.00/hour
Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Process inbound DROP EMPTY trips and ensure system accuracy
- Print offload/delivery manifests and PODs for drivers and scan documentation daily
- Update trip statuses, Command Pages, pro-bills with appropriate information
- Track shipments/customer pickups and provide status updates when needed
- Enter shipment dimensions for day-shift offloads
- Assign drivers, power units, and trailers to scheduled trips
- Depart dock interline manifests
- Confirm completion and accuracy of offloading activities
- Identify and report manifest discrepancies or damaged freight
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics or transportation is an asset)
- Experience in a similar role within the Transportation/Warehousing industry (1-2 years)
- Experience in a crossdock/LTL operation is an asset
- Good computer skills (specifically Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook and comfortable with web-based tools and shared internal systems)
- Experience with TruckMate (Customer Service, Trip Tracer, Crystal Reports) is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail
- Strong data entry skills (minimum 45 WPM)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong multitasking ability
- Ability to work effectively under time restraints in a high-volume terminal environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Steel toe safety boots and Safety Vest
