Job Summary
Alderlea Medical Clinic is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team on a part-time basis, with guaranteed hours and additional availability to cover holiday and sick leave throughout the year.
About the role
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, pleasant, Family Practice oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced, environment. The successful candidate will work in-clinic every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00am - 3:00pm (18 hours/week) and must be available to provide flexible coverage for at least 15 weeks per year to cover other MOA's vacation or sick leave.
Responsibilities
- Greet and Check in patients
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries
- Manage and complete Front Desk Tasks
- Support physicians and staff with daily clinic operations
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk/reception area
- Manage patient records and documentation when required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant (or similar administrative healthcare role)
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR-Med Access preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
- Reliable availability for scheduled and relief shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- MOA certificate or equivalent training
- Experience working in a family practice or primary care setting
Schedule
- Regular Hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays / 9:00am - 3:00pm
- Relief Coverage: At least 15 weeks per year for holiday/sick coverage (required)
