Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficient delivery, and excellent vehicle handling skills. Candidates with experience operating heavy equipment, or automotive repair are preferred, as these skills will enhance operational efficiency and safety. pay rate 0.70 cents per mile. Average 10,000 miles a month.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated locations within scheduled timeframes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operational readiness
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid CDL license preferred
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for maintaining vehicle performance
- Prior experience in logistics or transportation industries is advantageous
