Job Description:
We’re looking for a Corporate Responsibility Specialist – 18 Month Contract who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in communities across Canada. In this role, you will lead the execution of donation programs, community initiatives, and fundraising efforts, while collaborating with internal teams and charitable partners to support TJX Canada’s Corporate Responsibility objectives. Develops and implements internal and external marketing and communication plans aimed at increasing awareness among Associate and Customers; lead contact for Stores, Regional and DC teams to support local fundraising events.

Responsible for collecting, evaluating and coordinating approval for both internal and external charity requests, ensuring requests align with Corporate Charitable support guidelines; determines type of charitable donation (cash, gift cards, merchandise samples) and coordinates funding / donation requests to approved charities. Including grantmaking software applications as necessary.

Responsible for budget reconciliation for CR team.

On-going partnership and collaboration with Charity and Non-Profit partners, Merchandise/Samples, Finance, IT, Translation, Legal, Store Operations, Internal Communications, Workplace Services etc. to support CR initiatives.

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in marketing, administration or not for profit, community-based support programs and initiatives.

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor, including strong interviewing, negotiating, listening, and information gathering skills.

Good analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise communication strategies to support the vision of the department.
