KFG Law is seeking a SENIOR COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE LAW CLERK. KFG Law is a full service and busy firm in the heart of Yonge/Eglinton.
Responsibilities
- Commercial Real Estate and Lending files from beginning to end
- Carriage of files for developer-clients, including matters such as land assembly work, applications for absolute title, developer sale-closings (volume basis), financings for projects and construction (including both mortgage and PPSA financing
- Preparation of all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions and refinancing (on behalf of lenders and borrowers from both private and institutional lenders)
- Standard document production in relation to property acquisitions, dispositions and financings
- Conduct and review title searches, oversee off-title searches and draft requisition letters and responses
- Deal directly with clients, financial institutions, municipalities, land registry offices and title insurance companies
- Prepare record books promptly following completion of files
- Produce the highest quality of work

Skills & Requirements
- 10-15 years’ minimum experience as a Senior Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a legal assistant or law clerk program
- ILCO certification not mandatory
- Proficiency with Teraview
- Flexibility to work overtime if required:
- Solid understanding of the Real Estate transaction process
- MS Office Suite of Applications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Good judgement and decision making
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organized and Resourceful
- Self starter

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
