Job Overview
Pet Parlour is looking for an experienced and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. We offer grooming, daycare, and retail services in a fast-paced environment. This is a flexible full-time or part-time position with the opportunity for long-term growth within the company.
The ideal candidate is confident grooming dogs of all sizes, works well independently and with a team.
Responsibilities
- Groom dogs of all sizes and coat types
- Perform breed-standard and pet-style trims
- Prepare pets for grooming including nail trims, sanitary trims, ear cleaning, dematting, and brush-outs
- Bathe and dry pets as needed
- Safely handle pets during grooming appointments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming stations and bathing areas
- Refill grooming supplies and assist with salon housekeeping duties
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming requests and pet needs
- Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years of pet grooming experience preferred
- Knowledge of Asian-style grooming is an asset
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Weekend availability, especially Saturdays, is preferred
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
