Why this role matters
The Manager, Member Marketing, plays an important role in building a stronger and more connected member base. This position supports the design and delivery of member-facing experiences that create value for existing members, deepen participation, and encourage innovation-driven companies to engage with and join BC Tech.
Position summary
Reporting to the VP, Members & Partners, the Manager, Member Marketing is responsible for executing member events and communications that support relationship-building, community participation, and thought leadership across BC Tech’s network.
Focused on member outcomes, this role is responsible for week-to-week work to maintain our member database, website and distribute weekly social media and newsletter. It is also responsible for designing and delivering across the year 14 webinars, 40 C Council meetings, 3 networking events, 2 dinners, and the annual BC Tech member conference.
This is a hands-on role suited to a junior-to-mid career professional who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple priorities, and motivated by direct execution rather than delegation.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the calendar for member engagement activities, including C Councils, webinars, socials, sponsorship activations, and related member communications.
- Coordinate and execute member-facing communications across email, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Facebook, website updates, and other channels used to support engagement and participation.
- Draft and deliver recurring communications and collateral for webinars, C Council meetings and other presentation materials.
- Support webinar delivery, including scheduling, speaker outreach and briefing, registration communications, run-of-show support, presentation logistics, and post-event follow-up.
- Delivery of the BC Tech C Council program, tracking attendance, coordinating speakers and supporting the chairs with agenda preparation and supporting logistics.
- Oversee website updates and content publishing by coordinating with the website contractor and ensuring information is current, accurate, and aligned with BC Tech’s voice and brand standards.
- Oversee the design of marketing asset production with the graphic design contractor and the production of photography and video content with other relevant contractors.
- Support for the Technology Impact Awards program including website updates, application management, promotional materials, gala ticket sales, social media and onsite delivery.
- Track participation, engagement, and performance metrics across member programs, email campaigns, webinars, and digital touchpoints; prepare reports and summaries to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in member engagement, communications, program coordination, marketing, events, partnerships, or a related role.
- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, business, public relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience executing work independently and managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating webinars, stakeholder communications, recurring programs, or member-facing initiatives.
- Comfort with tracking lists, attendance records, company information, project details, and reporting data accurately.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common digital communication, webinar, or content management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of day-to-day deliverables.
- Experience supporting executive-level programs, thought leadership initiatives, or senior stakeholder communications.
Pay: $78,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
