iGaming Ontario is an agency of the Government of Ontario responsible for conducting and managing the Province’s regulated internet gaming (iGaming) market. Established in July 2021, iGaming Ontario works with private gaming operators and government stakeholders to deliver a safe, sustainable, and healthy market that operates in the public interest.

Departmental Summary
The Market Strategy and Insights team delivers analytics, industry intelligence and market research solutions to inform strategic and policy decisions and support business critical enterprise programs.
Work Description
Supporting the Responsible Gaming and Agency Compliance function, the student may have the opportunity to work on some or all of the following activities:
- Support the execution of consumer and industry market research projects.
- Conduct online research on igaming industry topics including products, suppliers, and player trends.
- Work alongside data analysts to enhance external research with proprietary data sets and industry intelligence reports.
- Support design and development of research and insights presentations for internal and external audiences.
How do I qualify?
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Market Research, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative consumer research methodologies and familiarity with survey datasets.
- Attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience working with business/industry research databases, corporate investor documents, and familiarity with financial statements an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in the written form for the production of research summaries.
- Critical thinker possessing sound judgement, a business mindset, and ability to conceptualize, evaluate, and problem-solve.
Mandatory
You must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment:
1. Co-op Student Status: Enrolled as a full-time post-secondary student in a co-operative education program at a recognized institution.
2. Work Environment: You must be living in the province of Ontario during the term of employment and you are required to work in office 5 days a week.
3. Work Status: Eligible to work in Canada.
