Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and current dental concerns
- Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans for patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment following all safety protocols
- Use dental practice management software such as Dentrix to document patient information accurately
- Support the dental team with assisting during procedures and managing patient flow efficiently
Skills
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Prior dental office experience demonstrating familiarity with daily operations and patient care standards
- Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for all patients
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health
