Walmart Canada Marketplace is looking for a Senior Analyst, Seller Incubation & Onboarding to help accelerate the growth of our Marketplace seller ecosystem.
This role will own the seller journey from business development handoff through onboarding, launch and early-stage incubation, ensuring sellers can get live, build their assortment and begin generating sales as quickly as possible.
The Senior Analyst will act as a central point of coordination across sellers and internal teams, proactively identifying onboarding barriers, driving issues to resolution and creating scalable processes that reduce seller launch cycle time. This role will partner closely with Business Development, Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), Product, Technology, Operations and other cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven and comfortable navigating complex processes while managing multiple sellers and priorities at once.
What You'll Do
Seller Onboarding & Launch
- Own a portfolio of newly committed Marketplace sellers from BD handoff through successful launch and early incubation .
- Build and manage onboarding plans with clear milestones, owners and timelines.
- Guide sellers through key onboarding requirements including account setup, item setup, catalog creation, integration, shipping configuration and operational readiness.
- Support sellers through Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) onboarding , where applicable, including coordination of inventory readiness and launch.
- Proactively identify sellers or SKUs that are stalled and drive the appropriate actions to get them live.
- Coordinate across internal teams to resolve technical, operational and process-related seller blockers.
Seller Incubation
- Support newly launched sellers through their initial incubation period to ensure they successfully transition from live to transacting and growing .
- Monitor early seller performance, including assortment, item health, inventory, fulfillment readiness and initial sales.
- Identify opportunities to improve seller readiness and accelerate time to first sale.
- Ensure sellers meet defined launch and incubation milestones before transitioning into the appropriate long-term management model.
Analytics & Performance Management
Develop and maintain reporting across the onboarding funnel, including:
Committed
- account created
Account created- active
Active- items live
Live- first sale
- WFS onboarding and inventory readiness
- Track onboarding cycle time, conversion rates, seller/SKU launch progress and key blockers.
- Identify recurring friction points and use data to recommend process improvements.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to Marketplace leadership on seller onboarding health, risks and opportunities.
Process Improvement & Scale
- Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and standardize seller onboarding.
- Develop playbooks, SOPs, seller communications and internal tools that enable the team to support a growing seller pipeline at scale.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to identify systemic seller pain points and prioritize improvements.
- Help establish clear SLAs, escalation paths and ownership across the Marketplace onboarding ecosystem.
- Leverage AI and automation tools where appropriate to reduce manual work and improve the seller experience.

Ultimately, this role enables our Business Development team to spend more time acquiring and closing strategic sellers , while ensuring committed sellers have the dedicated support needed to successfully launch and grow on Walmart Canada Marketplace.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Operations, Analytics, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in eCommerce, Marketplace, operations, project management, account management, business development support or a related field .
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and timelines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify issues, uncover root causes and drive action.
- Experience managing cross-functional processes and coordinating across multiple teams to deliver outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work directly with external sellers, suppliers or business partners.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership of problems and drive issues through to resolution.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience working with reporting, CRM or workflow management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in eCommerce, online marketplaces, retail or seller/vendor operations .
- Experience supporting seller, supplier, merchant or customer onboarding and implementation .
- Understanding of eCommerce fundamentals including catalog/item setup, fulfillment, inventory, integrations and operational readiness.
- Experience with Salesforce, SQL, Looker, Tableau or similar analytics and reporting tools.
- Experience developing or improving SOPs, workflows, SLAs and scalable operational processes .
- Exposure to automation, AI or other tools used to improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where processes and priorities continue to evolve.

The pay range for this position is $74,000.00 - $101,750.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
