Piper Arms is seeking an energetic and skilled Bartender to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized bar service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain a strong knowledge of menu offerings, including beer, wine, spirits, and specialty cocktails, to make recommendations and upsell when appropriate
- Operate POS systems (Micros experience is a plus) to process orders and payments, including cash handling
- Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines, checking identification and monitoring guest consumption
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout shifts, including glassware, garnishes, and supplies
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations
- Support service staff by coordinating drink orders for the dining area and assisting with guest inquiries
- Manage time effectively to serve bar guests and service well orders during peak periods
- Assist with basic food preparation and support kitchen or service team members as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; training may be provided for candidates with strong foundational skills
- Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros, is an asset
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and safe alcohol service practices
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and attention to detail
