Tony Curtis & Associates Inc. is actively interviewing for the role of Product Manager for a B2B apparel manufacturer and importer near Finch and Weston Rd. Our client is a firmly established, family-owned business providing premium quality, fashionable and functional sportwear and outerwear to a variety of clients and customers.
This is a pivotal position within the Supply Chain Department reporting to the Director of Supply Chain. The successful candidate will have a portfolio of styles and work autonomously ensuring supply is readily available to meet customer orders according to established metrics. You will liaise collaboratively with Sales providing forecast input, and issue purchase orders in a timely manner to meet customer demand and inventory turnover targets.

Main Responsibilities:
· Using the sales forecast and set inventory targets, generate purchase orders for assigned styles (120 days for new products and 90 days for ongoing products) to achieve order fill rate targets of 95% complete, and on time delivery within 48 hours. Anticipate demand to effectively replenish inventory to ensure customer satisfaction and ultimate revenues
· Provide leadership and effectively communicate with agents to ensure vendors meet all delivery, quality and cost commitments. Assist Supply Chain Director to drive a mutually rewarding partnership with our agents, ensuring Import Sourcing Strategies are met
· Purchase orders must be followed by tracking deliveries to warehouse. Monitor transportation accountability, and collaboration with the Customs team to ensure goods are accurately expedited into inventory
· Collaborate with sales to provide input to drive an effective forecast to meet customer demand. This will be achieved through historical data, market intelligence, causal data, etc.
· Ensure 3 months of active purchase orders are generated and followed up with a 3-month garment projection by style, to meet vendor partnership agreements. This is vital step to ensure all raw materials are either procured or projected by the vendor
· Follow daily/monthly Product Management calendar ensuring air shipments, splits and delays are generated as needed
· Follow up the Daily Back Order report to ensure necessary actions are taken by appropriate individuals to ensure customer orders are met and filled in as required. Collaborate with Sales to reduce back orders to meet and exceed performance metrics
· Effective communication with Sales and Customer Service ensuring the Momentis System is updated, and provide exception reports on changes
· Responsible for updated vendor price lists that include pricing, terms, effective dates – and are disseminated to Finance to ensure LCs are set up and terms are clearly communicated
· Issue purchase orders for salesman samples and ensure delivery dates are met
· Build macros as required to automate MS Excel spreadsheets to enhance work processes, accuracy and timeliness of information

· Transportation lead time and cost containment on freight
· Minimize air freight and domestic production costs (where applicable)
Qualifications:
- Excellent understanding of forecasting, planning and inventory management, MRP, apparel manufacturing, and supply chain management processes in general
- Possess a strong understanding of the import business, especially as it relates to the apparel industry
- Proactive individual with strong customer focus
- Excellent communication and rigorous follow up skills
- Exceptional at building and maintaining relationships to motivate suppliers to execute with excellence

Education/Experience:
- Completed PMAC or CAPIC certificate
- Post secondary diploma or degree in Business Management or education related to Apparel Fashion Industry
- 5 years’ experience in the field of Product Management in the Apparel Fashion Industry at a senior level
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
