Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them to relax, relieve tension, and improve their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to communicate effectively with clients about their needs, and have a solid understanding of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
Responsibilities
- Perform various types of massage techniques tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess clients' physical conditions and discuss their preferences to create personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their concerns or questions.
- Document client sessions accurately in accordance with practice protocols and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance the overall client experience.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology is preferred.
- Ability to create a calming environment for clients and demonstrate empathy in all interactions.
- Physical stamina to perform massages for extended periods while maintaining proper body mechanics.
- Previous experience in a spa or clinical setting is a plus but not required.
