Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Walkie Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient warehouse distribution, order picking, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience operating clamp trucks and forklifts, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move products within the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems
- Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas with heavy lifting as needed
- Organize and store inventory efficiently, ensuring proper placement for easy retrieval
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse operations
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
Pay: $22.15-$24.45 per hour
