Job Overview
This position is ideal for an experienced field technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys working independently at industrial customer sites.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on technician who can walk into an industrial facility, troubleshoot equipment, identify the root cause of a problem and communicate the solution clearly to the customer.

Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial air compressors and compressed air equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on rotary screw compressors and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system issues
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, sensors, valves and compressor controls
- Perform compressor start-ups, commissioning and inspections
- Diagnose equipment failures and recommend appropriate repairs
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Communicate equipment findings and repair recommendations to customers
- Work closely with Service Coordinators, Service Management and Sales
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and represent CAC positively in the field
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures
- Participate in after-hours/emergency service when required
- Travel to customer sites throughout the GTA and Ontario
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial field service, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, compressed air or a related industry
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience troubleshooting industrial motors, controls, sensors and VFDs
- Experience working with pneumatic systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Comfortable travelling to industrial customer sites throughout Ontario
- Ability to work in industrial environments and lift equipment/components as required

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
