- Maintains complete knowledge of all voltage systems, wiring, and motors throughout the property.
- Ensures aggressive "guest first" attitude among team members and provides a friendly guest contact experience.
- Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
- Ensures proper installation, repair, and maintenance of all equipment and plumbing, i.e.; boiler, heaters, water filters, etc.
- Ensures maintenance and repair of all finished surfaces in the hotel.
- Oversees installation and maintenance of air conditioning units, system, and chiller operations.
- Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly at all times and that preventive maintenance measures are maintained to company standards.
- Ensures that all filters throughout the hotel are changed as scheduled.
- Responding in a courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
- Locating and correcting in-room heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions, and adjusting HVAC units to include systems control checks.
- Making systematic checks on all guest room electrical appliances, circuits; being able to repair most in-room defects.
- Handling all in-house repairs in regards to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc.
- Checks electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and makes minor repairs.
- Does elementary painting and finishing of furniture and structure.
- Checks and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems, and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
