Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the, Extrusion, Printing Press, and Conversion Departments at our facility. This role ensures production schedules are met, quality control standards are maintained, maintenance is performed, and safety protocols are followed in a 24/7 operation. The Production Supervisor provides leadership to operators, supports troubleshooting, and promotes process improvements, cleanliness, and efficiency across production lines. The standard work schedule for this role could be Tuesday to Saturday.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities in the Extrusion, Press, and Conversion Departments.
- Support Department Managers by ensuring equipment is properly manned and utilized according to production schedules.
- Contribute to process flow improvements and assist with the implementation of new systems and procedures.
- Partner with Quality Control to train staff and ensure compliance with quality procedures across all shifts.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot equipment issues and provide support as needed.
- Participate in company-wide audits and compliance initiatives.
- Promote and maintain cleanliness, organization, and 5S practices in the production area.
- Reinforce health and safety priorities and assist in staff training programs.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit accurate daily reports.
- Perform other duties as required to support production efficiency and departmental goals.
QUALIFICATION:
- College or post-secondary education in relevant fields.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of quality control, extrusion, printing, and packaging conversion machinery (asset).
- First Aid Level 2 certification (asset).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
