Role Overview We are a growing sunroom company looking for a hands-on leader to bridge the gap between our office and the job site. You will be the primary point of contact for our installation crews, ensuring every project is completed to our high standards while mentoring our team to improve their technical skills and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Oversight: Visit active job sites daily to audit installation processes, verify measurements, and ensure compliance with local building codes and company standards.
- Crew Management: Schedule and deploy installation teams; manage daily crew logistics including material and tool readiness.
- Training & Mentorship: Lead the onboarding of new hires and conduct on-the-job training for current staff on specialized sunroom framing, glazing, and finishing techniques.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) standards, specifically focusing on "Working at Heights" and power tool safety.
- Quality Control & Resolution: Act as the final check on completed jobs; resolve technical site challenges or customer concerns immediately to ensure "zero-defect" handovers.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in residential construction (sunrooms, framing, or window/door installation) with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead hand role.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and technical specifications.
- Certifications: Valid Driver’s License (Required); Working at Heights Certification (Preferred).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a "coach" mentality rather than just a "boss" mentality.
- Proven experience in team leadership or supervisory roles, preferably within a similar industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to motivate and engage team members
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and make sound decisions under pressure
- Prior experience with staff training, performance management, and conflict resolution is highly desirable
What We Offer
Salary Range: $65,000 – $95,000 (Commensurate with experience)
