Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate soil and debris. This is a physically demanding role that requires operating heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate hydrovac equipment to excavate soil and debris
- Perform hydro excavation using high-pressure water and vacuum systems
- Dig trenches, expose utilities, and perform daylighting operations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Complete daily logs, and other required documentation
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Class 1A or 3A required for Operators
- Experience operating hydrovac equipment is preferred but willing to train the right candidates
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment would be an asset
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
