Nahanni Steel Products Inc is looking for a Quality Coordinator to help us implement, maintain and improve our QMS!
We are seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator with a background in automotive manufacturing and supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. This role is responsible for conducting internal audits, overseeing internal quality performance, managing corrective and preventive actions, supporting supplier quality initiatives, ensuring environmental compliance, and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional with experience in automotive core tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA, as well as a proven ability to improve operational performance, maintain compliance, and foster a culture of quality and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- CMM Operation: Run Mitutoyo CMM machines to measure complex parts and verify precise dimensions.
- 3D Scanner Operation: Run Creaform HandySCAN 3D to scan and measure parts and verify dimension.
- PPAP Management: Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process packages following AIAG standards.
- Blueprint & GD&T Analysis: Interpret engineering blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to evaluate part features.
- Inspection and Testing: Perform incoming material inspections, verify material certificates, and review Certificates of Conformance (CoC).
- Shop Floor Support: Conduct routine shop floor quality inspections and support production teams.
- Gauges and Calibration: Manage equipment calibration schedules and perform Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) studies.
- Data Analysis: Conduct Statistical Process Control (SPC) studies to track quality trends.
- Inventory Control: Ensure that defective material is properly identified with NCR Log and Inventory Control software.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing
- Experience operating Mitutoyo CMM equipment and using MCOSMOS software.
- Experience operating Creaform HandySCAN 3D equipment and using Creaform OS and PolyWorks Inspector software.
- Advanced proficiency in blueprint reading and standard ASME Y14.5 GD&T symbols.
- Strong knowledge of AIAG PPAP standards.
- Hands-on experience with gauge R&R studies and SPC data analysis.
- Basic understanding of shop floor quality methods and inventory control.
