MDware Software is looking for an Intermediate .NET Developer to join the team working on MDware, our flagship medical practice management software platform.
MDware has been serving the healthcare industry for over 30 years and is used by thousands of clinics that depend on it every day. This is a hands-on product development role for someone who enjoys working on real-world business software across desktop applications, backend services, databases, web applications, and cloud-connected systems.
This is not a management role. We are looking for someone who can help us deliver practical improvements more quickly, take ownership of assigned development work, and contribute to a collaborative development team.
About the Role
As an Intermediate .NET Developer, you will help build, maintain, and improve MDware as the platform continues to evolve. You will work in a mature, established codebase with a broad technology footprint and contribute to ongoing product improvement and modernization efforts.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys understanding existing systems, solving practical business problems, and delivering reliable software that real users depend on every day.
What You’ll Do
- Build, maintain, and improve features across the MDware platform
- Work on desktop application functionality, backend services, database logic, and web-facing features
- Contribute to the ongoing modernization of a mature .NET application
- Investigate and resolve issues reported by QA, Support, Sales, and other departments
- Collaborate with other developers to prioritize and deliver practical improvements
- Work with an existing codebase that includes both modern and legacy components
- Write maintainable code that fits into an established enterprise application
- Help improve reliability, performance, maintainability, and developer productivity
- Participate in discussions about how AI and automation can improve both the product and the development workflow
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Experience building or maintaining business applications
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
- Comfortable working in an existing mature codebase
- Ability to investigate problems, understand existing systems, and deliver practical solutions
- Good communication skills and the ability to work responsibly in a team environment
- Willingness to work with legacy .NET code where needed, including VB.NET
- A practical, self-directed approach to software development

- Angular, React, Vue, Svelte, or another modern web framework

- Docker, containers, or cloud infrastructure experience

- Experience with AI-enabled features, LLM integrations, or automation-assisted workflows
- Interest or experience in using AI tools to improve the software development lifecycle, including coding assistance, testing, documentation, issue triage, or developer productivity
- Experience with modernization projects involving established .NET applications
