Site Specific Information
Our Whitby Site specializes in commercial manufacturing for a full range of conventional dosage forms with specialized capabilities, and houses a fully integrated pharmaceutical development services (PDS) facility.
Discover Impactful Work:
Lead a team of millwrights to ensure maximum process & packaging equipment uptime and availability. Distribute, set up work, assist and monitor progress of the team to ensure work is completed Right First Time and On Time. Work closely with the Supervisor(s) to ensure the daily schedule is supported from a maintenance perspective.
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday - weekly rotation Nights, Afternoon and Days. Must be able to work all 3 shifts.
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required.
College Certificate/Degree in Industrial Millwright
Licensed to practice as Industrial Millwright is required
Minimum 5 years experience with packaging and processing equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Minimum 2 years experience in coaching, leading, and/or supervising a group or project
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Attention to detail and quality of work. Ability to read drawings/schematics. Basic knowledge of welding, electrical, plumbing, pipe-fitting, hydraulics, an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive and organized approach to completing tasks timely and efficiently. Sound knowledge with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) Regulations. Strong judgment, decision making and trouble shooting skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to deal confidently with inside and outside clients. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and site CMMS applications. Proficiency with the English language.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes or odour. Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator.

Compensation
The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $56,400.00–$84,600.00.
