Job Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to support our daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, organizing, handling, and moving materials while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect and organize incoming shipments and materials.
- Safely unload shipping containers using forklifts and other appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for delivery according to company standards.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Handle and move stone slabs, tiles, and building materials using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts, product labeling, material identification and warehouse organization.
- Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Perform general warehouse, workshop and material-handling duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience is required.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Experience operating overhead cranes and telehandlers is highly desirable.
- Experience handling stone slabs, tiles or other building materials is an asset.
- Familiarity with warehouse processes, including receiving, shipping, picking, packing and inventory control.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
- Must have and wear CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
