We are currently seeking a highly organized and professional Service Advisor / Assistant Shop Manager to lead our front-counter operations. In this dual role, you will not only serve as the primary point of contact for our clientele but also act as a crucial management support system. You will assist the General Manager with daily administrative operations, supervise front-of-house workflow, and ensure our high-volume facility runs seamlessly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of front-counter staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient appointment scheduling.
- Resolving escalated customer concerns, authorizing returns or service adjustments, and managing complex client inquiries with professionalism.
- Preparing accurate, competitive estimates for premier tire brands (Centara, Haida, SureTrac, Michelin) and complex automotive repairs.
- Managing inventory levels for retail tires and auto parts, preparing daily sales volume reports, and ordering supplies as needed to prevent operational shortages.
- Assisting the General Manager with opening and closing procedures, daily cash reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Serving as the primary liaison between the sales counter and the service bays, ensuring technicians have the correct parts and accurate work orders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience, with the proven ability to lead a small team and resolve conflicts independently.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, multitasking, and organizational capabilities under high-pressure, high-volume situations.
- Foundational knowledge of tire specifications, sizing, and general automotive maintenance is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in digital operational tools, including automotive booking, scheduling, and invoicing software systems.

- Location: Spryfield (308 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS, B3R 1V4) OR Bedford (70 Rosno Lane, Unit 1&2, Bedford, NS, B4B 1J7)
- Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
- Hours of Work: 35 to 40 hours per week (Minimum 35 hours guaranteed; can increase depending on operational requirements)
- Wage: $21 to $32 per hour, Depends on experience and Qualifications.
