Overview:
Nella Food Equipment is looking for a highly organized, proactive Project Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll support our Project Managers in delivering high-quality commercial kitchen projects while also assisting with estimating tasks as needed. Estimating experience is preferred but not required-we're happy to train the right person who's eager to learn.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
- Monitor project progress and generate status reports for internal teams and stakeholders
- Assist with scheduling meetings, managing resources, and coordinating trades
- Maintain and organize project documentation including plans, budgets, and schedules
- Support procurement and logistics to ensure equipment is correctly ordered and delivered
- Handle administrative duties such as billing, recordkeeping, and risk tracking
- Communicate effectively with trades, suppliers, and internal departments
Estimating Support (as needed):
- Review project tenders and ensure complete scope coverage
- Assist in collecting and comparing quotes from suppliers for cost-efficient solutions
- Support in the development of budgets, spreadsheets, and bid packages
- Participate in site visits to gather information when required
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma (post-secondary education an asset)
- 1-3 years experience in project coordination preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills
- NetSuite experience an asset
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and communication skills
- Experience in the hospitality, foodservice, or construction industry is preferred
- Estimating experience is preferrable, but we're open to training a motivated candidate
